Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth Alumni Foundation Scholarship for Excellence

The 2023 Application Process closed on March 24, 2023.

The Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth Alumni Foundation thanks all founding members and sponsors for their generous support of our mission. As a result of that participation, we have been successful in meeting and exceeding our goals of providing support to the local TLBR league, celebrating our rich history of incredible players and coaches, and providing scholarships to players coming through our program and going to college.

Last year, we awarded $1,000 college scholarships to 8 former players!

Check this page in 2024 for information on applying for one of that year’s scholarships. To be eligible to earn one of the 2024 limited scholarships, the applicant must be

A current senior in high school (class of 2024)
Previously played in the Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth baseball league.

In addition, the applicant must complete and return the application linked below, and include a 250-500 word essay.

The applicant may include up to two letters of recommendation. At least one should be from a non‐coach

The deadline to submit completed applications for the current class was March 24, 2023 (extended, was March 10, 2023). The winners will be selected from the applications received, and will be notified by April 21, 2022.
